It is very easy to operate. It’s extremely intuitive. You’ll get to grips with the basic features in no time. But mastery takes time and dedication. It’s similar to learning a new language, but easier. But you will have to keep one thing in mind: nobody learns to speak and read in a day.
Normally, with a few hours of use, you will be able to perceive large objects, obstacles and clear areas to pass. It depends a bit on your previous skills.
After a week of training every day, you will be able to discern quite a few details. The first few days you can start with 10 or 20 minute sessions. It is important not to overexert yourself; NIIRA is meant to be practical and fun. Don’t get overwhelmed, take it slowly.
After a month, you will need to concentrate less and less. You will simply feel the information, without having to translate it. like a bilingual person, who can switch languages naturally and effortlessly.
NIIRA rewards effort. The longer you use them consistently, the richer your experience will be, and the richer your environment will be.
It is important to go slowly and steadily. A good starting point is to explore well-known places with NIIRA: for example, your home. You will be able to identify familiar objects with a particular sound: door openings, tables, corridors, stairs… And then you can transfer that knowledge to other new spaces. The sounds will change a bit, but you will be able to identify the height and position of everything around you.

No, it is only necessary to concentrate at first. Little by little, our brain adapts to the system, until it translates on the fly and effortlessly. It is a gradual process.
You can. In fact, we recommend that you combine NIIRA with your cane or guide dog. Our system has been designed to work in harmony with the usual aids. The combination of all assistive systems increases safety and quality of information.
Climatology
NIIRA is not waterproof. It can withstand the beginning of a light rain, or splashes. If this happens, you can wipe it off with a dry cloth and continue your activity. You can use NIIRA if you wear a visor cap, hat or umbrella. Rain does not affect the NIIRA 3D recognition systems.
If the system has been exposed to a lot of water, you must switch it off completely. Contact our technical service and we will tell you how to proceed.
The working temperatures of the system are between -15ºC and 45ºC. If these levels are exceeded, NIIRA will warn you that it will shut down preventively to avoid malfunctions.
NIIRA works in all lighting conditions, even in total darkness. The invisible laser system allows 3D scanning to continue even without light; we will find objects, obstacles and free spaces with the same precision as always. For scene description, good lighting is important. In low or no light conditions, the quality of the responses will be reduced.

Daily maintenance
It depends a little on the intensity of use and the ambient temperature, but on average, they can run for eight hours continuously. If you take breaks, or put the glasses to rest, the autonomy will grow.
This is the indication that the glasses are not connected to the processing unit. In order to charge the equipment, it is necessary that the glasses and the image processing unit are connected to each other.
You can clean your NIIRA with a slightly damp cloth, and with a microfibre cloth. Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
Connectivity
It has two main functions: WI-FI is necessary for software updates. On the other hand, connectivity is needed for image description functions.
You can do this by creating a shared data connection with your mobile.
You can connect your NIIRA to your phone via Bluetooth. You will be able to listen to voice messages and sound from your phone apps through your glasses.
Description of images
When you press the image description button on the processing unit, NIIRA will indicate with a sound that it has taken a picture. After a few moments, it will start describing everything in the picture. You can also request with another button to make a specific description of clothes, or to read short texts. You can also press the query button. NIIRA will indicate that it is listening to you and you can make a query. After a few seconds of processing, it will answer you.
Two requirements are necessary: good lighting and a data connection (either connected to Wi-Fi or sharing data with the phone).
The functionality is free of charge as long as it is not abused. If this is the case, we will warn you about the excess of data processed.
Health and Personalisation
No. NIIRA is a non-invasive and totally harmless system.
Yes, although it depends on the individual case. If your hearing problems are not related to the cochlear nerve, you will be able to listen to NIIRA. It is always advisable to do a test beforehand, as each person is different.
You can connect your NIIRA to your phone via Bluetooth. You will be able to listen to voice messages and sound from your phone apps through your glasses.
NIIRA does not interfere with hearing aids or implants. That said, it is always advisable to pre-test on a case-by-case basis.
It can be very useful. Depending on your visual rest, it can help you by detecting objects that are outside your field of vision. In this way, you can combine your hearing and your visual rest to compose a scene of your environment. The image description and short text reading function can also be useful. As it works smoothly in darkness, it can be useful for people with low-light vision problems.

Acquiring an NIIRA system
At the moment, no. We are currently in the process of a progressive roll-out in Spain. We want to ensure the best technical and personal assistance for our users. We will gradually expand our frontiers, always with the aim of offering the best Customer Service.
As soon as we check that the payment has been made, we will prepare the shipment with a transport agency. It does not usually take more than 48 hours.
Of course. The law establishes a 15-day trial period, but we extend it to 30 days so that you can try it out and adapt at your leisure.
You have 30 days to return the equipment, and your money will be refunded. Of course, both the equipment and the packaging must be returned in perfect condition. Once this has been checked, your money will be refunded.
