WHAT IS NIIRA
NIIRA is a unique audio-visual perception device. It is in the form of glasses that are connected to an Image Processing Unit, which is about the size of a smartphone, but slightly thicker.
The glasses part has an integrated camera that records the 3D environment in real-time, without delay. And that spatial data is converted into sound. It's a sensory technology, so it's hard to put words to it, but it's incredibly easy to use.
Within a few days of use, you will be able to distinguish the spaces and obstacles around you through sound. With more practice you will be able to perceive details you can't even imagine. The more you train, the richer and more detailed your surroundings will become. The limit is up to you.
In addition, NIIRA is super smart. She can describe where you are, or what objects are there. And you can talk to her to ask for more details. She will be your inseparable companion.

You will be able to perceive details 2mm high. And free spaces and obstacles at a distance of 5 metres. You will be able to identify objects such as food, money and clothes without touching them. NIIRA will be your real-time assistant. And if you need specific details, you can ask NIIRA by voice. She will detail what you need (*).
NIIRA has both optical and laser devices to collect three-dimensional information. The laser allows the system to remain accurate in low light conditions, even in total darkness. Thanks to this combination of technologies, you can use NIIRA anytime, anywhere.
COMFORTABLE CONTROL
Introducing WiCon (Wireless Controller), a bluetooth ring that allows you to operate the NIIRA functions as a remote control. Convenient and small, it allows you to use the system without having to touch the Processing Unit.
It is very convenient (and safe) to leave the unit in your bag or backpack, and just enjoy. Its USB rechargeable battery allows it to run for over a month between recharges.
WiCon Max is the big brother of WiCon. Bigger and more robust, it is designed with a strap that allows you to attach it securely to your walking stick or your guide dog's harness.
It's rain and dust resistant, so you don't have to worry when you're out exploring in bad weather.
